Stocks Fall After Fed Minutes Show Willingness to Taper in June

Peugeot First-Half Sales Flat

Peugeot said its first-half sales were unchanged compared with the year-earlier period at 1.764 billion units, while its market share in Western Europe rose by 0.2% to 14.2%.

The car maker said the Peugeot 207 and the Citroen C4 Picasso "made a strong contribution to reversing the sales trend".

In Western Europe, new car registrations rose 0.9% to 1.27 million units.

The group said it expects to "continue growing" in Western Europe in the rest of 2007.
