Eurotunnel Reports 7% Rise in First-Half Revenue

Revenue at Eurotunnel, the Anglo-French tunnel railway operator, rose 7% to 252 million pounds ($511 million) in the first half of 2007, the company said on Wednesday.

The number of trucks carried rose 9% on the same period in 2006, with car volumes up 8%, Eurotunnel said in a statement.

The number of Eurostar train passengers travelling through the Channel Tunnel rose 5% to 3.91 million.
