After a long wait, it's expected that Kevin Durantwill sign with either Nike or adidas in the next couple of days and that the wait is only being delayed by certain language that is being reviewed. The total value of the deal is expected to exceed $40 million, the second largest deal ever signed by an NBA rookie.

The other was a $90 million deal that Nike signed with LeBron James in 2003, which was also negotiated by Durant's agent Aaron Goodwin. Sources tell CNBC that the report from Sports Business Radio's Brian Berger, mentioning that Goodwin would only get paid on a deal greater than $40 million, is not true.
