Ex-Ford COO Scheele Enters Bidding for Jaguar, Land Rover: FT

Sir Nick Scheele, Ford Motor's chief operating officer between 2001 and 2005, has entered the bidding for Jaguar and Land Rover, the Financial Times reported.

He has joined forces with Ripplewood Holdings, one of half a dozen groups doing due diligence on the U.S. carmaker's U.K. premium brands, people close to the sale told the newspaper.

Jac Nasser, who served as Ford's chief executive officer from 1999 to 2001, is leading a separate bid by One Equity, the buyout group.
