Gateway to Sell Professional Unit to MPC for $90 Million

Gateway said on Wednesday it plans to sell its professional business segment to MPC Corp for about $90 million.
Personal computer maker Gateway, which said it embarked on a consumer-focused strategy earlier this year, expects the deal to close early in the fourth quarter.
Taiwan's Acer said last month it will buy Gateway for $710 million to expand its U.S. presence.
