Cramer's 'Flight to Quality'

On Mad Money this week, Cramer is highlighting companies that do a good portion of their business outside the U.S. He isn’t confident America-centric businesses will see the growth investors crave. His pick for Tuesday, Textron, should profit from a growing demand for business jets overseas.

Textron [TXT  Loading...      ()   ] makes Cessna luxury jets. It also makes helicopters and military aircraft and land vehicles, but one key trend should mean good things for the Cessna biz especially.

Every year, Honeywell International [HON  Loading...      ()   ] gives its outlook for the business aviation industry, and the company said this year and next should see record-setting numbers. Honeywell expects 14,000 new business jets to be delivered over the next decade.

The best part of the report, though, at least as far as Cramer was concerned, was the note about the rest of the world having a much bigger demand for the jets than the U.S. This should feed into Textron’s growth internationally, he said. Already TXT’s rest-of-world growth is triple that of its operations in the U.S., and these overseas sales look much better in dollar terms because the dollar is so weak.

Even taking into account exposure to the American market, Textron is still levered to the military, which shouldn’t see a slowdown anytime soon, Cramer said.

Still, “the best way to try to make money is to abandon the U.S. - just give up - and fly your Cessna to better markets, Cramer said, "and that’s exactly what we’re seeing from Textron.”
