They Said I'd Never Make It
Posted By:Scott Eason

Thursday night on The Big Idea, learn how to fight back when others want to cut you down.  You’ll see that even some of the most successful people in the world were told their ideas
would never work…but it didn’t stop them from chasing their dreams.

Jack Canfield, best-selling author of the “Chicken Soup For The Soul” series, was turned down and rejected countless times by publishing companies.  Now, over 100 million copies later, Chicken Soup For The Soul Enterprises is a billion-dollar empire.  Just imagine if Jack had allowed others to win at trying to shoot him down!

Donny also sits down with Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head Beer. Sam simply loved beer…and for fun started brewing it in his apartment.  Sam decided to make beer his way, creating unique flavors like Punkin’ Ale, Ginger Peach Wheat and Chicory Stout.  According to the company, 2006 revenues were 12 million big ones.  Not bad for a guy who started the entire operation out of his own apartment.
