Gazprom Reaches Deal on Settling Ukraine's Gas Debt

Russia's state gas monopoly Gazprom said Tuesday it had reached a deal on settling Ukraine's $1.3 billion (922 million euros) debt for gas supplies.

Gazprom said in a statement that the agreement to settle the debt by Nov. 1 was signed after talks between Gazprom's Chief Executive Alexei Miller and Ukraine's Energy Minister Yuri Boiko.
