New Operations Boost Vedanta Metals Production

India-focused miner Vedanta Resources posted record production of most metals during the second quarter as new operations came on stream.

London-listed Vedanta, which also has operations in Zambia and Australia, said on Wednesday aluminum production for the three months to end September rose 25.3% to 99,000 tonnes while copper cathode output in India and Australia increased 13.8% to 91,000 tonnes.
