Fake It 'Til You Make It!

Tuesday night on The Big Idea, learn that sometimes the best experience in business is no experience at all.  You’ll meet a man whose business began in Tibet when he came face-to-face with a child yak herder.  Now, just 20 years later his big idea raked in $30 million in sales for 2006.

Stephen Holt

Stephen Holt’s story of success will inspire you no matter where you are in business.  In 1987, while a student at Georgetown, Stephen studied abroad in China and later traveled to Tibet.  It was in Tibet that he pondered what he would do with the rest of his life…go off to corporate world or start his own business.  As he stared at the child yak herder Stephen made up his mind and decided to not “work for the man”.  With no experience in business and little money, Stephen (with the help of his roommates) turned his college apartment into corporate headquarters.  Tonight, Stephen reveals the idea that has made him millions and how he managed to navigate his way through the ups and downs of starting a business.
