Warren Buffett's whirlwind tour of Asia is almost over. Accompanied by CNBC's Becky Quick, Buffett is now flying back to Omaha in a private jet. They left Korea about six hours ago after Buffett made some positive comments about Korean stocks and some negative comments about the U.S. dollar.
They're scheduled to land in Nebraska about five hours from now.
While in Korea, Becky and producer Lacy O'Toole got to a feed point and sent back some video reports from Buffett's visit to China.
This one is from Dalian, China, where Buffett was honored by a lavish dinner, including fireworks, confetti and a princess in an egg:
Becky: Everywhere Warren Buffett goes, he draws a crowd and here in China, it's no different. In fact, here in Dalian, they're pulling out all the stops. Tonight, we've already had confetti raining from the ceilings, we had fireworks taking off behind us. We also had a giant egg that opened up to show this beautiful princess here behind us.
In fact, behind me they're getting ready for the dinner right now. This is a state dinner of sorts. Mr. Buffett is seated next to the mayor of Dalian and there are all sorts of state officials who are here.
This is the type of turnout he's getting all over the place, because this investment that Berkshire Hathaway is making right here in Dalian is a huge deal and not only for Berkshire Hathaway, but especially for Dalian. I've heard a lot of talk today about what it means.
We're also going to find out what all these investments around the globe have meant, especially in South Korea. That's something we're going to be following up with tomorrow on Squawk Box. Make sure you tune in for more on that, and we'll be checking in with you.
Becky will continue to report on her experiences On the Road with Warren Buffett both on CNBC's Squawk Box (6a-9a ET weekdays) and here on Warren Buffett Watch.
