London, 22 October 2007 - CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European business and financial TV channel, has appointed Rebecca Meehan as Stock Market Reporter, based at the network’s regional headquarters in London.

Starting today, Rebecca will report live from the London Stock Exchange for the channel’s flagship morning shows, Capital Connection, Squawk Box Europe, Worldwide Exchange and Power Lunch Europe.  She will also do live reports for CNBC and MSNBC in the United States.

Rebecca has more than six years experience in financial TV reporting and news, and has interviewed leading CEOs from around the world, having worked in both Europe and in the United States.  Most recently she was the Europe Reporter for Bloomberg television’s U.S. channel.  Based in London, Rebecca covered breaking business news stories and reported on the European market reaction to U.S. stories.  Prior to that, Rebecca worked at Bloomberg News in New York as Technology Reporter, interviewing CEOs from the major tech companies, and was also European Transportation Reporter in London.  Rebecca was born in the UK and holds a degree from the London School of Economics.
