Insulated From Subprime?

Thursday, 15 Nov 2007 | 3:35 PM ET

Asset managers may be better insulated from subprime woes than banks, but should you bet on them as financials begin recovering from credit crisis?

Not only are asset mangers better insulated from subprime, but they are also a baby boomer play, said Guy Adami. In the space he recommended Affiliated Manager’s Group (AMG), a firm also upgraded by Wachovia. It’s cheaper on valuation than Janus (JNS), he added.

Karen Finerman agreed. She also liked Ameriprise Financial (AMP) and Charles Schwab (SCHW).

Pete Najarian recommended keeping an eye on PMI Group (PMI) and Ambac Financial (ABK).
