Sometimes a stock is hot and other time it just burns. Following are the Fast Money misfires.

Pete Najarian

On September 27th, the Pit Boss got on board with this shipping stock. He said, “I like Nordic American Tanker (NAT)…Oil is going to continue to be shipped from those destinations and as the rates go higher they are going to do nothing but print money!”

So far, the call has done nothing but sink and it’s anyone’s guess if the stock is going to shape up or ship out.

“I’m still holding this stock,” says Pete Najarian.

Guy Adami

On Wednesday November 28th the Negotiator started to get bullish on a PC maker. He said, “I love Dell (DELL) into and out of earnings."

But Thursday’s brutal earnings report sent the stock tumbling. Shares of Dell are off more than 13% since his call.

“I was wrong, but I would still buy Dell,” Guy Adami says.

Karen Finerman

On Tuesday November 21st, the Chairwoman recommended an oil refiner. She said, "I like Tesoro (TSO), I think the back end will be lower than where Kirk Kirkorian got in."

But a week later, activist investor Kirk Kekorian - aka Captian Kirk - pulled his tender offer citing Tesoro's plan for a poison pill. That sent shares much lower.

“I was wrong,” says Karen Finerman. “I don’t know what else to say except I’m still long and I’m expecting a refinery bounce.”
