The Latest Picks That Paid

Quicker Ticker
Our traders are good - but you knew that!  Check out their latest plays that paid.

Jeff Macke

On December 14th the Lone Wolf sniffed out a delicious trade in McDonald’s (MCD). At the time he said, "Get long the arches… when I bit into a quarter pounder (after not having one for a while) it was unbelievably good, and it tasted exactly the way I remembered, which is the magic of  McDonald's.”

Shares of the golden arches were up again this week after same store sales blew away expectations. But Macke’s been on the Mac attack all year, with shares up more than 40% since his first call in January.

Karen Finerman

On December 5th The Chairwoman first revealed the in’s and out’s of her MBIA (MBI) trade. At the time she said, "We covered today because in this environment, they'll be able to raise capital." Then on December 10th she said "We actually got short again today. I feel there's more bad news coming for MBI."

In other words Finerman recommended covering shorts ahead of their $1 billion cash infusion and then said to go short again right before shares tumbled back to earth. If you followed Finerman’s lead you would have made 20% on the way up, and 10% on the way down.

Guy Adami

On December 12th the Negotiator shot for the stars with an aerospace play. At the time he said, "Honeywell (HON), I love this stock. It's about 4 or 5 dollars off the 52 week high….when they fire on all cylinders, this stock will be much higher."

The very next day, those cylinders went wild. The aerospace engineer took off on a higher ’08 forecast and added 5% in just one day’s time.

Pete Najarian

On November 16th the Pit Boss recommended Manitowac (MTW), a US crane company. At the time he said, “I think we could hold onto this thing for a little while longer. Just give it an opportunity to perform towards the end of the year."

And perform it did. Since his call shares have rallied 24%, climbing 6% this week alone after MTW raised their ’07 profit forecast.
