Paul Wimer is one one of the co-founding partners of Topspin Partners, a $213 million venture capital and private equity firm, where he is responsible for identifying qualified entrepreneurial ventures, negotiating financing terms, and building investment syndicates, as well as making the investment, then actively assisting the venture as it matures. He works closely with management teams at each venture to shape the company, whether through strategic planning, recruiting new team members, refining business and financial models, or assisting in the operation of the enterprise. He currently sits on the boards of five portfolio companies: Third Pillar Systems, WhittmanHart, Inc., netomat, Sensicore, and Pionetics.
For the past 11 months, Wimer has served as Chairman and CEO of WhittmanHart, a leading provider of internet marketing and media services and management consulting and IT services.
He is also on the faculty at
Trump University, where has crafted a number of online classes based on his 20 years experience in assisting budding entrepreneurs and seasoned business executives in achieving their goals.
Wimer started his career as a manufacturing manager at Procter & Gamble after receiving his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Yale University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
He is a board member of the Venture Investor Association of New York, the leading organization of venture capital firms in the Metro NY area, as well as a member of the Yale Science and Engineering Association.
