Interesting Fact: In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, jogging, playing tennis, amateur auto racing, and hiking. He currently resides in Sun Valley, Idaho with his wife, Laura.
Before founding SeV, Scott practiced real estate and corporate law with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP , an international law firm with over 600 attorneys, and DLA Piper, an international law firm with over 3200 attorneys worldwide. Scott received his Juris Doctor (Summa Cum Laude and Order of the Coif) from Case Western Reserve University College of Law in May of 1992. He published a law review article cited by several Federal Appellate Courts.
But the law bored Scott; he was always an entrepreneur at heart. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University majoring in Entrepreneurship. He started Images Calendar Line while at OSU, and then went into a family business.
As a result of Scott's accomplishments with SeV, he has been written about extensively, including several articles in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. As well as being included in several college textbooks, Scott has since been featured in many TV shows, including the CNBC's hit show The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch (See the full interview), the hit TV Show Radical Sabbatical as well as Japan's hit show, The World's Most Successful People.
