CNBC Trillion Dollar Survey: It's Clinton vs. Romney

Regardless of what happens today in Iowa, the 2008 presidential contest will come down to Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney, according to a CNBC Trillion Dollar Snap Survey of some of the nation's top money managers, investment strategists and professional economists.

And they are giving the final edge to Clinton's party, despite the majority's desire for a Republican administration.

Preliminary results from the survey include:

Who will win Democratic Presidential nomination?

Hillary Clinton - 80%

Who will win Republican Presidential nomination?

Mitt Romney - 53%

Which party will win the White House in 2008?

Democratic - 80%

Which party do you want to win the White House in 2008?

Republican - 60%

Biggest Business Story of 2008?

42% of respondents say the Presidential Election will be biggest business story of 2008

23% say foreign investment in U.S.
