Kristopher and his fiancée Sophia were living large. After ditching his job in the fitness industry to become a partner in a real estate venture, Kristopher was quickly bringing in a six-figure salary. And Sophia, who also worked in real estate for a prominent homebuilder, was making even more.

The couple led an extravagant life together with their new fortune, spending up to $1000 a night on dinner, taking exotic vacations all over the world and buying expensive cars and homes around the country.

But Kristopher noticed the real estate market in his hometown of Las Vegas was beginning to turn. He began to sell the homes he and Sophia owned, losing money on two but breaking even or profiting off the other three. It looked like they had averted a financial crisis.

But then Kristopher had a string of bad luck, losing thousands on a failed business idea and a stock deal. His debt is beginning to add up to the tune of over $60,000 in credit card bills – and he’s still using his credit to finance a new web based business venture called www.getpaid4yourrecipes.com. He hopes will allow him and Sophia to enjoy the good life once again. Now he’s looking for guidance and advice so he can combine his debt and begin to pay it off while still pursuing his dream of being a business owner.

Sell home - at a loss
Short term it will hurt, but in the long run this gets them ahead and in better shape to plan their future together.

Use cash to pay off credit card debt
Keep tabs on where the cash is going. The average person loses track of $200 a month by using cash.

Set a clear budget for wedding - and don't spend too much
Kris and Sophia hope to keep their costs to $10k which is very tight for their plans. Without a lot of willpower this wedding could easily double that. Figure out a budget and keep to it.

Get rid of the debt before setting up the business
A bitter pill to swallow since being his own boss has always been Kris’s dream. Paying off the debt has to come before Kris’s dreams of setting up a new business. Getting rid of the debt will help deliver the dream.
