Inside Nike Show Information and Web Companion

Those people who watch CNBC every day might have noticed that I spent most of the month of December off the air. The reason for this?

I was taking trips like this: New York-Frankfurt-Singapore-Vietnam-Hong Kong-Los Angeles-Portland-New York. It was all for an hour documentary I am doing on Nike [NKE  Loading...      ()   ] .

A couple months ago, I went to the people at Nike, who in covering the business of sports, I talk to every single week. I told them the idea of the show--a look into their company that went deeper than any report. I told them I wanted to show our viewers this sneakerhead culture. I wanted to go behind the story of Michael Jordan's incredible success even today as a shoe pitchman, delve into Nike's history and explore their advertising and finally--look into how they recovered from the labor practices that made them the poster boy for sweatshops a decade ago.

They thankfully agreed. So here we are. It's a show I'm extremely proud of and can't wait to show the world.

For the next week, until the show runs on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 10pm and 1am. I'll be talking about the show right here on my blog.

Here's a couple clips for you to start things out. First is the really cool promo the folks at CNBC made.

And for those of you who want to know how "Just Do It" was created, here's Wieden + Kennedy founder Dan Wieden.

Finally, check out this photo gallery of the workers we took at a factory in Vietnam. It shows you how a Nike shoe is made.
