Deal Or No Deal

What are the most solid trades in a landscape of shaky deals?

TARGET BUYER

Penn Gaming (PENN) Fortress Investment Group (FIG)

The options trading suggests to me that that Fortress wants to walk away from the deal, speculates Pete Najarian.

Matria Health (MATR) Inverness Medical (IMA)

That deal looks like it’s going to get done but at a significant discount, Najariann says.

Bright Horizons (BFAM) Bain Capital

I think there are some private equity firms that have major issues and this could be one of them, says Pete Najarian.

BCE Inc. (BCE) Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

This deal has several months to close, says Karen Finerman. I think it will get done. But I prefer the corporate buyers (such as Microsoft) much better.
