Branson/Google Founders To Have Mars Colony! (What Day Is This?)

I got so excited this morning! I discovered that Richard Branson and Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page are planning to establish the first human colony on Mars by 2014. This would be only two years after the expiration of the Google Lunar Xprize, awarding $30 million to get working rovers on the Moon.

They're calling it Virgle (a combination of Virgin and Google), and they're asking people to become Virgle Pioneers. Click here to see the details.

HUGE NEWS! Except, well, upon further investigation, I forgot it's April Fool's. Be an idiot like me and click on the FAQs page and go down to the bottom where it says "Virgle is real."

Dang. I was all ready to pack my bags.
