Harris Looking at Strategic Options: WSJ

Communications equipment maker Harris has started exploring strategic options, which may lead to its eventual sale, the Wall Street Journal said on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Companies including Raytheon, BAE Systems and Northrop Grumman [NOC  Loading...      (%)   ] could show interest in Harris, the Journal said.

The Journal, citing its sources, noted however the company is in the initial stages of the process of exploring options and could very well decide against selling itself.

Harris [HRS  Loading...      (%)   ] , which serves the government and commercial markets in more than 150 countries, has annual revenues of over $5 billion and more than 16,000 employees.

The company was not immediately available for comment.
