Remember what you did in the 1970's for a cheap thrill? With gas surging now as then, it looks like good times are back... and ain’t we lucky we got ‘em! Maybe JJ isn’t shouting “Dyn-o-mite” but people are still eager for a summer of fun.
Forget the water park, according to Fast Money’s Jeff Macke families will get wet and wild right in their own backyards. Hasbro shares are booming on the strength of a long time favorite, the Slip N' Slide'.
And it's not just kids having fun in the backyard. Sam's Club is reporting increased sales of outdoor grills and gardening tools in the latest quarter.
So as the family trades in a vacation for a “stay-cation” here are the simple trades from summer’s simple pleasures.
