Chartology: Second-Half Outlook

The first half of ’08 has been a tough on stocks. And according to technical analyst Dan Fitzpatrick the second half won’t be much kinder.

His analysis of the S&P 500 as compared to stocks that are trading above their 40 day moving average reveals that not many stocks are performing well. However, he also notes that volatility is currently low.

These trends lead him to conclude that the market could be due for a short term bounce, but over all he thinks stocks are heading lower.

However, he says trends in the charts of 3 companies appear to be bullish. They are Hess, Aecom Technology and Petrobras. All could be worth a look.
