If you like animation, ping-pong and free food, (and who doesn't?) then DreamWorks animation may be the place for you. Once you drive through the gates of the DreamWorks Animation studios in Glendale, CA. You're surrounded by fountains, flowers, arched walkways and maybe 15 ping-pong tables scattered around the grounds. In addition to regular ping-pong and poker tournaments (which Jeffrey Katzenberg supposedly wins every time) the completely free cafeteria offers very healthy egg whites on the extensive breakfast menu, and an impressive array of soft and regular ice cream with toppings at lunch. But once the cafeteria stops serving, everyone returns to his or her computer station, incredibly focused on each gesture of whatever character they may be animating in the many movies under production at all times. Jeffrey Katzenberg is famous for managing his time very strictly. True to form, our interview time was precisely scheduled and as we started to run out of shooting time, we literally got a countdown: three minutes, two minutes, one minute of shooting time left. We shot for every possible second.
