Contest Widely Helds and Actives:

  • Currency Traders have lost the most on shorting AUD/USD [$$AUDUSD  Loading...      ()   ], AUD/JPY [$$AUDJPY  Loading...      ()   ] as Australian dollar strengthen on positive job data, with employment rate falling to 4.2% from 4.3%.

  • Top currency trades are in EUR/USD [$$EURUSD  Loading...      ()   ] as it has been the preferred currency pair for contestant number three, which has been long on EUR/USD since July 3, and has made over $184,000 since the start of the contest. Federal Reserves' regulatory concerns over U.S. financial institutions compliment EUR/USD trades, as the Fed's commentary have a bearish impact on the dollar.

  • Ambac Financial [ABK  Loading...      ()   ] was the Most Active stock in the constest by far with 183 million shares traded, followed by Sirius Satellite Radio [SIRI  Loading...      ()   ] at over 88 million shares traded.

  • Sirius Satellite Radio [SIRI  Loading...      ()   ] continues to hold the top spot in the Widely Helds with a little under 2.5 billion held shares, and Evergreen Solar [ESLR  Loading...      ()   ] moved up one spot with about 320 million held shares over US Airways [LCC  Loading...      ()   ], and MBIA Inc.[MBI  Loading...      ()   ] finished second to last, with roughly 184 million held shares, pushing UAL Corp. [UAUA  Loading...      ()   ] one spot down.

  • Industrials continue to represent 30% of the top widely helds followed by Financials at 25%.
