NEW YORK - Shares of some top biotechnology companies were up at the close of trading:
Amgen rose $2.83 or 5.2 percent, to $57.47.
Biogen Idec rose $.69 or 1.7 percent, to $42.12.
Celgene rose $1.76 or 3.5 percent, to $52.60.
Genentech rose $3.63 or 5.1 percent, to $75.40.
Gilead Sciences rose $2.08 or 4.7 percent, to $46.17.
