NEW YORK - Shares of some top machinery companies were mixed at the close of trading:
Caterpillar rose $1.65 or 4.3 percent, to $39.65.
Deere rose $1.91 or 6.0 percent, to $33.75.
Manitowoc fell $.18 or 2.4 percent, to $7.24.
Terex fell $.24 or 1.8 percent, to $13.41.
