Amphenol rose $.44 or 2.0 percent, to $22.00.
Avnet rose $.37 or 2.6 percent, to $14.42.
Emerson Electric rose $.92 or 2.9 percent, to $32.97.
Thomas & Betts rose $.64 or 3.5 percent, to $18.79.
