Covidien rose $.27 or .6 percent, to $45.92.
Millipore rose $.35 or .5 percent, to $68.08.
Patterson rose $.20 or .8 percent, to $26.07.
PerkinElmer rose $.13 or .7 percent, to $19.17.
Thermo Fisher rose $.22 or .5 percent, to $46.78.
Varian Medical rose $.81 or 1.8 percent, to $46.42.
Waters rose $.15 or .3 percent, to $59.19.
