Akamai Technologies rose $.53 or 2.2 percent, to $24.47.
Amazon rose $2.01 or 1.6 percent, to $131.67.
eBay rose $.65 or 2.9 percent, to $23.44.
Google rose $13.08 or 2.3 percent, to $583.04.
Yahoo rose $.08 or .5 percent, to $15.46.
