Less than two hours after Jets deal was forged, at about 2 am, the team had an advertisement on its web site calling out the fact that Jets No. 4 replica jerseys with Favre's name on the back were available.
A couple hours later, at 4:16 am, the team sent this e-mail to its fans with the subject line: "Brett is a Jet! Get your Favre Jets Jersey Now!

Later in the morning, the Jets added a second banner on the web site calling out the Favre jersey buying opportunity.
Over the past 17 seasons, Favre has sold more jerseys than any player in NFL history. Favre finished the season ranked No. 3 in jersey sales. There was not a single Jets player in the top 20 best selling jerseys last year.
UPDATE: Although Favre finished the season at No. 3 and had retired, he sold the most jerseys of any NFL player from April 1-July 31, according to sales on NFLShop.com.
