Will Apple [AAPL  Loading...      ()   ] set the world on fire next week? With little advance notice the secretive company announced plans for a media event this coming Tuesday.

Immediately speculation began to swirl that Steve Jobs could unveil a new iPod or reduce its price, or maybe both. However, its hard to tell if the changes will be revolutionary.

“I expect new iPods,” says Lehman Apple analyst Ben Reitzes on Fast Money. “I think the Nano will get a form change and there could be a big price drop in the iPod touch which is currently more expensive than the iPhone.”

But that's not all...

“And then they’re going to potentially revamp iTunes which is a big thing because it helps them sell iPods and iPhones,” Reitzes adds. “Music is super important to Apple because it goes into the iPod, iPhone as well as the Macs.”

Of course it’s no secret that lately Apple stock has not performed. “I think if they beat revenue investors will come around,” adds Reitzes. “Also the cash flow could explode with the way their model is. And the stock tends to rally on new products.”

Also investors want to know about the health of Steve Jobs. Last month unsubstantiated rumors circulated that he wasn’t well. “Is he upbeat, is he there? We’ll be watching that as well,” Reitzes says .

How do you trade?

”I think investors should own Apple through years end,” he concludes.
