Tuesday's Viewer Favorite: Lubber

By Dennis Brazzell
Creator, The Lubber Tote

AWESOME, is the word I will choose to sum up my experience on “The Big Idea with Donny
Deutsch”.

As other “Million Dollar Idea” participants have stated the past 48 hours has been a total whirlwind.

The rush of emotions from the first phone call, the excitement of a new adventure, the prospect of being on national television to the pure joy of having the viewers select the Lubber Tote as their favorite new idea… was an incredible feeling.

All I can say is WOW!

It all started during a family summer vacation to the beach.  I had just lost my job of fourteen years and I was devastated.  My mind was churning and seeking any resolution to what my family’s future would hold.

While the hunt for an answer or direction was in progress I noticed that everywhere I looked I saw people wearing the EVA garden clogs.  They were worn inside, outside, wet, dry, in mud, in sand, etc.

This is when the idea struck.  “Why not make a rinse-able, quick-drying, multi-purpose yet fashionable tote to match the shoes?”

My wife and my two girls joined my mind-set and we were off as a family, to bring this idea to reality.  Our minds were overflowing with inspiration and we had a table full of sketches to prove it.

After many, many, many designs and mold prototypes we came up with the Lubber Tote as it is today.

We knew that for this tote to stand above all other EVA totes the design would have to be unique and that it also had to carry with it a utility purpose.  Our product is a light-weight, rinse-able, mildew-free, adorable and one-of-a-kind fashion tote.

In the design process we wanted the owner to be able to attach his or her own style to their tote.  Charms, flowers, stickers and decals can be added to personalize the tote, yet the Lubber tote still remains functional.

The Lubber tote can be used by men, women, boys and girls.  Some ideas we have for possible uses are as follows:

A Beach tote (sand rinses completely out)

A Garden tote (garden tools can be rinsed while in the still in the tote)

A tote to carry nautical cleaning supplies (the EVA material will not scratch the boats surface)

A cute way to carry your pet products

We have our product in several stores and the Lubber Tote is available on-line.  Our dream is to get the tote onto the shelves of large scale retailers.

We have so many new and exciting ideas to add to our Lubber line so keep checking our website.

I would like to thank everyone involved in the process of this great adventure I have just experienced.  The entire staff of “The Big Idea” was so filled with energy and excitement and made me feel so confidant.  I would also like to thank all of the viewers for supporting and voting for my product.  Your votes have filled me with determination to see the Lubber Tote achieve great success.
