Like we’ve seen so many times in the past, investors like to toss out the baby with the bathwater. That is, companies that are strong and viable are punished as spooked investors sell first and ask questions later.
Traders, which stocks were unfairly punished during Monday’s monster sell-off?
I’m keeping an eye on McDonald’s . I think the stock is all but bullet-proof. Also I like Church & Dwight.
My strategy is to get diversified. I’d get into consumer staples, healthcare, commodities and even real estate.
I’m sticking with Pharma. I like Johnson & Johnson, Novartis and Amgen for their osteoporosis drug. If you want to play financials, Northern Trust , State Street, and USB look like great companies with minimal risk.
I think the way to approach it, is with an exit plan. I went longGoldmanon Monday with a tight stop. And when I stopped out and lost money I said I'm wrong and happy to be out.
