Third Quarter Winners & Losers: Preview

It's been a rough twelve months. The Dow and S&P are looking to have their 4th straight quarter of declines, something not seen in years. Here is a preview of the quarter end stats and the winners and losers to date.
4th straight quarterly decline for Dow Industrials(first time that’s happened since 1977/1978!!!)
- 4th straight quarterly decline for S&P 500 (first time that’s happened since 2000/2001)
- Worst quarter for Dow Transports since Q4 2007
- Worst quarter for Dow Utilities since Q3 2002
- Russell 2000 is the only major index that is UP QTD
- First Q3 decline for Dow Industrials, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Composite since 2004
