While the U.S. indices have been hit hard since the October highs, many international indices have been hit even harder since last October:
Finally, here’s how the Dow’s 30 components have performed since last October and their impact on the index. Note that 3 components (BAC, CVX, and AIG) were removed from the index since then and replaced by HON, MO, and KFT). Notice that Wal-Mart is the sole Dow component showing a gain in the past year.
