Today, we're proclaiming Sports Biz the home of endorsement fraud. If you see an athlete wearing a brand or using a product he or she doesn't endorse, send in pictures and evidence right here. (Note: We might not be able to run them, as is the case below, if we don't have rights to it).
We're all sick and tired of guys that get paid to do say they use something and then don't do it. So we're here to do our part to stop this practice.
Today's note comes to us from a reader named Mackey:
"A lot of us know that JKidd signed with Peak (also endorsed by Shane Battier) and was introduced by the company as an endorser right after the Olympics. Here's a picture from last night's game and his shoes look like Nikes to me (especially the sole). I looked at my old catalogs and can't seem to find a style similar to those."

]shoes in a game last night against the Chicago Bulls. They are the same shoes he wore during the Olympics. Kidd announced his deal with the Chinese shoe company more than six weeks ago and we think there's no excuse for Kidd or Peak, for that matter, to not have on the brand of shoes that he's paid to endorse. We suspect that they just haven't made a custom mold, but they better do it soon.
