Market Insider: No Two Bears are the Same

We've all been searching for road maps from the past to help guide us through these current, scary market conditions.

Birinyi Associates' Cleve Rueckert sent out this chart of the current bear market versus the 1974 bear market. He says it was more similar two weeks ago, but it will still give you pause.

"If it were the same pattern, we would have gotten a 10 percent rally," he said. "..Maybe it means the decline came sooner and we'll get recovery more swiftly."
