Would there be tears of joy or frowns of regret? We had our chance to pitch a business idea to James Caan, founder of private equity group Hamilton Bradshaw and panelist from the "Dragons' Den" TV show in the UK.
Frankly, our half-baked ideas for a bank and a bicycle for fat kids didn't really meet the brief! Not surprising perhaps, given we made them up in the throw to break before he joined us on set.
Our Dragon was here to talk about the new investment management company he is setting up: Insynergy. Odd time to start an investment management company some might argue, as equity markets, commodities and other asset classes struggle. Not so says our Dragon ... it is the ultimate contrarian play.
Watch the interview above. Our Dragon also gave his thoughts on the outlook for leveraged private equity paper, Sharia compliant funds and his opinion on our business ideas.
Your feedback always welcome - here.
