Shell Names Financial Director Peter Voser as Next CEO

Oil giant Royal Dutch Shell said on Wednesday that Peter Voser would become chief executive with effect from July 1, 2009.
Voser, currently Shell's finance director, will succeed Jeroen van der Veer as CEO of the world's second biggest non-government controlled oil company by market value.
"I am delighted to announce Peter Voser as the next chief executive of Royal Dutch Shell," Chairman Jorma Ollila said in a statement.
"Peter has the experience, qualities and personal leadership to drive Shell forward, building on the strong position established by Jeroen van der Veer," Ollila added.
