See What People Are Saying About... Another $600 Stimulus Check

Grim reports out Friday show American consumers are tightening their belts and the business outlook is weakening due to fears about global recession.

A U.S. Commerce Department report showed consumers cut monthly spending for the first time in two years in September, evidently bracing for hard times as jobs continue to disappear and credit conditions tighten.

Another survey showed U.S. consumer confidence suffered its steepest monthly drop on record in October.

Meanwhile, Washington appears to be taking a page out of Hollywood, looks set to release Stimulus 2, the sequel.

A wide range of proposals are being floated around the Capitol including a second set of stimulus checks, similar to those $600 checks that were mailed out earlier in the year.

And that leads to our Fast Money Reader Poll. Should the government send out a second set of stimulus checks?
