Bomb explodes at Swedish hotel, 1 injured
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Swedish police say a bomb has exploded at a hotel in the city of Vasteras, seriously injuring one person.
Police spokesman Per Stromback describes the bomb as a homemade device made with gunpowder.
He says the device went off in the kitchen of a hotel near the Vasteras airport just after 9 p.m. (2000 GMT). It caused a small fire that was quickly put out.
Stromback says the hotel is being evacuated. Vasteras is 70 miles (110 kilometers) west of Stockholm.
