COPPELL, Texas - Mannatech Inc., a maker of dietary supplements and skin care products, said Tuesday that the Securities and Exchange Commission has informed the company it will not face civil action related to the dismissal of its accountant.

Mannatech said in September that the SEC had informed the company it was conducting an informal inquiry into the dismissal of its public accountant, Grant Thornton, in October 2007.

The SEC told the company it was considering whether the dismissal violated various federal laws.

Mannatech shares remained flat Tuesday at $3.92.
