Potlatch to take downtime at 5 plants
SPOKANE, Wash. - Potlatch Corp. said Tuesday it will take downtime at five plants due to continuing poor market conditions.
Three sawmills, one plywood plant and one particleboard plant will be affected, the company said. All are expected to resume production by Dec. 1 except for the Post Falls, Idaho, particleboard plant, which is currently down and which will remain down until orders increase.
Overall, Potlatch operates 12 manufacturing facilities that produce lumber and panel products and bleached pulp products, including paperboard and tissue.
