SANTA ANA, Calif. - For-profit education company Corinthian Colleges Inc. on Wednesday affirmed its fiscal 2009 earnings and revenue guidance.
The Santa Ana, Calif.-based company said it continues to expect earnings of 58 cents to 63 cents per share on revenue of $1.21 billion to $1.25 billion.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters, on average, predict a profit of 58 cents per share on revenue of $1.23 billion for the fiscal year ending in June 2009.
For the fiscal second quarter, Corinthian expects earnings of 14 cents to 16 cents per share on revenue of $304 million to $309 million.
Analysts predict a profit of 14 cents per share on revenue of $310.2 million.
The guidance reiteration came as Corinthian said its fiscal first-quarter profit more than doubled on strong student enrollment.
