Stantec names Robert Gomes as new CEO
Canadian engineering and design firm Stantec said on Wednesday that Robert Gomes would be its next president and chief executive.
It said current CEO Tony Franceschini, who has led the company since 1998, would stay as a director.
Gomes has been with the company for 20 years. In 2005 he was named senior vice president for the Industrial & Project Management group, and by the end of 2007 its revenue had more than doubled, the company said.
Stantec shares rose 38 cents, or 2 percent, to $19.10 in morning trading.
