Success Story: What Carmen Did For Me

In honor of Veteran's Day, Carmen welcomed back Liz, a Navy vet who appeared on the program nearly three months ago in an effort to improve her finances and secure a future for her family. After taking Carmen's advice, along with credit tips from John Ulzheimer, Liz is already on her way to a brighter financial future. Below is the note she personally sent Carmen to thank her for her help:

Subject: Thank you!!

Dear Carmen,

I truly believe that things do happen for a reason. All of my life experiences have made me the person that I am today. I am a single mother of two, military veteran, business woman and along the way I made some unwise financial decisions. I felt so trapped by my financial mistakes that I no longer trusted my judgment. My debt put me in such a dark place that I did not see the hope that was at the end of the tunnel.

Since the first airing of your show in August I have taken the advice and steps that you and John Ulzheimer had given me. In the past two months I feel like a completely different person because the debt that used to hold me down no longer exists.

My credit score has shot up after taking John's credit advice. I feel so liberated. I never knew how much my debt had control over my life until it was gone.

In truth, I have found that taking control of myself emotionally affects me financially. Now that things are looking up, it has made me a better person, mother and businesswoman.

Carmen, you gave me REAL heartfelt financial advice. You prevented me from making unwise financial decisions. I currently have a plan of action that I am working on and I thank everyone at On the Money for the advice that you have given me. It has helped me tremendously as a single mother of two. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

Regards,
Liz
