London, 5 November 2008 - 63% of business and financial professionals agree that the UK government, under Gordon Brown, has handled the financial turmoil better than the US, according to a recent poll from CNBC.com.

When asked whether the UK or the US government had responded better to the financial trials of the past year, only 11% of respondents believe that the Bush administration made better decisions as it attempted to avert recession.

The poll was conducted by CNBC to collect the opinions of the channel’s audience, which consists of influential C-Suite executives and finance professionals.
